BYE ERIC(DE DON)

                          BYE ERIC
I walked into your office on that sunny day
The sun barely had a grimace on
And the wind was in no hurry
My thoughts were vague
And I didn't know what to expect
There was no beating drum
Until I saw you
You were full of life
So young and free
You had the world at your feet
You had the resilience of a bull
The vision of an eagle
The sly of an old fox
And the heart of a lion
Your thoughts were free
Fiery as could be
Crude yet poetic
It hurt that you left us to fix your puzzle
The scythe was cruel                                  Voices of Ravens Pierce the air
You were strong yet weak
In silence hope is found
